Julian Gross

Julian is managing partner of International Management Institute, which develops and presents training courses for business schools both overseas and in Australia, and provides advisory services to business in Australia, and the Pacific region.
Julian is also a director of Retail Fast Finance P/L, a consumer finance company and serves on the boards and/or executive bodies of various client companies.
He is the author of many training programs including Finance at the University of Western Sydney, and the Business Management Certificate program offered by the Australian Institute of Management.
He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences. He is also the author of “Dimensions of Organisation Development” which has become the development model followed by some of the best known companies in Australia.

After graduating, Julian commenced his career as a Financial Controller for a transport and rental company. Within 3 years of promotions he became Managing Director and led the company to a takeover by a large diversified group. At 30, Julian became the youngest ever appointed Managing Director within this group.
At 32 Julian returned to post-graduate studies and completed a MBA at the University of Cape Town after which he was appointed National Business Manager with Toyota Motor Company -Australia. Julian had the responsibility of developing the dealer network information systems and providing business advice and remedial programs to the dealer and distributor network. He was then appointed to the position of Group General Manager of a $150 million annual turnover company with responsibility for development, profitability and financial management of the group. He also had responsibility for the strategic management of the group's diversification program that included property development, motor-rental, and equipment manufacture.
Julian returned to his profession by joining the consulting division of a large accounting firm in which he managed the Corporate Planning Department. He has worked on various government and private sector assignments in Hong Kong, South Africa, India, Bulgaria and Fiji.
